Jenni Sapio

Jennifer Sapio was born and raised in Austin, Texas. She earned a Bachelor’s degree from Barnard College, and a PhD from the University of Texas. She is currently pursuing an MFA from New York University and teaches at Austin Community College. Dr. Sapio was shortlisted for the Doug Draime Prize for Poetry (2020) and the Writer’s Advice flash memoir contest (2019). She also volunteers for the Inside Literature program at the Travis County Correctional Complex and the Girls Empowerment Network.
