William Virgil Davis

William Virgil Davis’s most recent book is Dismantlements of Silence: Poems Selected and New (2015). He is also the author of The Bones Poems (2014) and Landscape and Journey (Ivan R. Dee, 2009), winner of New Criterion’s Poetry Prize and the Helen C. Smith Memorial Award for Poetry, among others. He is also the author of half a dozen books of literary criticism, most recently R. S. Thomas: Poetry and Theology (Baylor University Press, 2007). He is Professor of English and Writer-in-Residence at Baylor University.
