Suzanne Berne

Suzanne Berne's first novel, A Crime in the Neighborhood, won Great Britain's Orange Prize and was a finalist for France's Prix Femina and the Edgar Award for best first novel. She has published three subsequent novels, most recently The Dogs of Littlefield, and a book of nonfiction. The recipient of an NEA fellowship as well as other awards, she has written for numerous national magazines and newspapers, including Vogue, the New York Times, Guardian, Los Angeles Review of Books and Washington Post. For many years she taught writing at Harvard University and now teaches at Boston College.
