Stanley Plumly

Stanley Plumly’s poem is part of his forthcoming posthumous volume, Middle Distance, to be published in August 2020 by W. W. Norton. He was the author of ten widely-influential books of poetry as well as four volumes of prose, most recently Elegy Landscapes: Constable and Turner and the Intimate Sublime (2018). He was Distinguished Professor of English at the University of Maryland.
