Sonia Sanchez

Sonia Sanchez has written over sixteen books of poetry and prose and edited two anthologies. She has been honored with the National Endowment for the Arts Lucretia Mott Award, a Pew Fellowship in the Arts, the American Book Award, the Poetry Society of America’s Robert Frost Medal, the Robert Creeley Award, and the Langston Hughes Poetry Award. Her poetry has also been featured in the movie Love Jones.
