Robert Bechtle

Robert Bechtle was born in 1932 in San Francisco. He graduated from the California College of Arts and Crafts and has taught at U.C. Berkeley, U.C. Davis, and San Francisco State. His work has been shown at museums around the world, including the Whitney Museum of American Art, Centre National d’Art Contemporain Georges Pompidou in Paris, Palazzo Reale in Milan, and the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. He is represented by Gladstone Gallery, New York, and Gallery Paule Anglim, San Francisco.
