Richard Tillinghast

Richard Tillinghast’s thirteenth collection of poems, Blue If Only I Could Tell You, won the White Pine Press Poetry Prize and will be published in 2022. The author, as well, of five books of creative nonfiction, Tillinghast has taught at Harvard, Berkeley, Sewanee, the University of Michigan, Trinity College Dublin, and is currently a member of the core faculty in the Converse College low-residency MFA program. His poems have appeared in the American Poetry Review, Atlantic, Harvard Review, New Yorker, Paris Review, New Republic, New Criterion, and elsewhere. The recipient of grants from the Guggenheim Foundation, the NEA, the British Council, the Irish Arts Council, and the Bread Loaf Writers’ Conference, he lives in Hawaii and spends his summers in Sewanee, Tennessee.
