Reif Larsen’s first novel, The Selected Works of T. S. Spivet, was shortlisted for the Guardian First Book Award and the James Tait Black memorial Prize and was adapted into a movie by Jean-Pierre Jeunet (Amélie). A New York Times bestseller, it has been translated into twenty-seven languages. His second novel, I Am Radar, was published in 2015 by Penguin Press. Larsen's essays and fiction have appeared in the New York Times, Guardian, GQ, Tin House, McSweeney's, one story, The Millions, Virginia Quarterly Review, Asymptote Journal and The Believer. He lives in Troy, NY, where he is the Writer in Residence at the Troy Innovation Garage and runs The Future of Small Cities event series.
