Lynne Sharon Schwartz

Lynne Sharon Schwartz is the author of twenty-three books, including novels, short stories, nonfiction, poetry, and translations. Her latest book is a collection of essays, This Is Where We Came In (Counterpoint, 2014). Her work has been reprinted in Best American Short Stories, The O. Henry Prize Stories, Best American Essays, and many other anthologies. She has received grants from the Guggenheim Foundation, the National Endowment for the Arts, and the New York State Foundation for the Arts. A native New Yorker, she lives in New York City and teaches at the Bennington College Writing Seminars and at Columbia University’s School of the Arts.
