Linda Susan Jackson

Linda Susan Jackson’s first collection of poems, What Yellow Sounds Like, a finalist for The National Poetry Series and the Paterson Poetry Prize, was published by Tia Chucha Press (2007). A Cave Canem fellow, she is also the recipient of fellowships from the New York State Foundation for the Arts, Calabash International Literary Festival, Soul Mountain Writers Retreat, and The Frost Place. Her work has appeared in Obsidian, Mission at Tenth, Crab Orchard Review, Brilliant Corners, and Rivendell, among others, and has been featured on From the Fishouse audio archive. She is an associate professor of English at Medgar Evers College/CUNY.
