Kurt Vonnegut

Kurt Vonnegut (1922-2007) was an American writer. He published 14 novels, 3 short story collections, 5 plays, and 5 works of non-fiction. He is best known for works such as Breakfast of Champions (1973), Cat's Cradle (1963), and Slaughterhouse-Five, his most highly acclaimed work. He spent time at the University of Iowa writer's workshop, and briefly taught at Harvard and CUNY. He was also vice president of the National Institute of Arts and Letters.
