Erik Gustaf Geijer

Erik Gustaf Geijer (1783-1847) was an influential Swedish philosopher, poet, historian, political theorist, and composer. A professor at Uppsala University, Geijer was an early proponent of Swedish romanticism and nationalism. Later, he became a leading advocate of liberal social and economic reforms. His published works include poetry, history, memoir and a variety of songs and chamber music.
