Edward Mayes

Edward Mayes’s poems have appeared in many journals, including the Southern Review, The New Yorker, APR, Kenyon Review, as well as Best American Poetry. His books of poetry include First Language, winner of the Juniper Prize (University of Massachusetts Press, 1990), and Works and Days, winner of the AWP Prize in Poetry (University of Pittsburgh Press, 1999). He lives in North Carolina and Italy with his wife, the writer Frances Mayes.
