David Wagoner

David Wagoner has published nineteen books of poems, most recently After the Point of No Return (Copper Canyon, 2012). He has also published ten novels, including The Escape Artist. He won the Lilly Prize in 1991 and the Arthur Rense Prize for Poetry in 2011. The editor of Poetry Northwest from 1966 to 2002, he is professor emeritus at the University of Washington. He teaches in the low-residency MFA program of the Whidbey Island Writers Workshop.
