Abelardo Morell

Abelard Morell was born in Havana, Cuba, and has an MFA from Yale University and a doctorate from Bowdoin College. He is professor of photography at Massachusetts College of Art and Artist-in-Residence at Yale. He has received a Guggenheim Memorial Fellowship, a NEFA fellowship, and a Rappaport Prize. His work is represented in over fifty museum collections, including the Metropolitan Museum, MOMA, the National Gallery, and the Boston Museum of Fine Arts. He is represented by the Bonni Benrubi Gallery in New York and Carroll and Sons in Boston.
