Russell Banks

Russell Banks is an American writer and poet. He is the author of twelve novels, most recently Lost Memory of Skin (2011); six poetry collections, most recently A Permanent Member of the Family (2013), two poetry collections, and three works of nonfiction. Banks is a Fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, and winner of the 1985 John Dos Passos Prize for fiction.
