Jason Mastaler

Jason Mastaler is an American writer of poetry, essays, and short fiction. He holds degrees from Harvard University, The University of New Mexico, and The University of Idaho’s Creative Writing graduate program. His work has been published in numerous literary magazines including FIELD: Contemporary Poetry and Poetics, Passages North, the Tusculum Review, the Massachusetts Review, and the Los Angeles Review. His essay “Shadow Walk,” published in HR No. 42, received a distinguished notation in The Best American Essays 2013. In a former life, Jason worked in Computer Science, including seven years as a Systems Scientist at Los Alamos National Laboratory. He now lives in North Idaho and online at bstill.org.
