Fred Marchant

Fred Marchant's newest collection of poetry is Said Not Said (Graywolf). His first book, Tipping Point, won the 1993 Washington Prize in Poetry and was recently reissued in a twentieth-anniversary second edition. In addition, he has edited Another World Instead: The Early Poems of William Stafford and has (with Nguyen Ba Chung) co-translated the work of the Vietnamese poets Tran Dang Khoa and Vo Que. Marchant is an emeritus professor of English at Suffolk University in Boston and the founding director of the Poetry Center at Suffolk.
